This form was the first use of AI within our federal client’s application—a significant milestone for a platform serving millions seeking benefits. The AI Smart-fill feature searches the record system and automatically fills in form fields when supporting documentation is found, saving caseworkers from manually hunting through records.

The AI Smart-fill feature also surfaces links to the source documents and displays a confidence score showing how closely each document matches the form's requirements—giving users transparency into how the AI reached its conclusions.

I led the visual modernization of this application—working closely with the client, product owners, and development team to design clear interfaces for an AI-powered experience that many users were encountering for the first time.

Since launch, the AI Smart-fill feature has dramatically accelerated form processing and reduced the manual burden on our federal client’s caseworkers.
